The eighth commandment reveals God honors private ownership and expects us to work for provision. Stealing includes despoiling, dishonesty, defrauding, and defaming—all revealing hearts that are lazy, dissatisfied, self-centered, and distrustful of God as Provider. True repentance requires confession and restitution. As stewards of God’s resources, we’re accountable for faithful management of everything He entrusts to us.
